Remove Messages From Server

Outlook Express 4, 5, & 6 (Windows)
Outlook 2000 (Windows)

  1. Open Outlook Express. Click the Tools menu and choose Accounts.
  2. Click the Mail tab. Highlight your RV ISP mail account and click the Properties button.
  3. Click the Advanced tab. Uncheck Leave a copy of messages on server.
  4. Click OK and close the Internet Accounts window.

Outlook 98 (Windows)

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook. Click the Tools menu and choose Services.
  2. Highlight Internet Email and click the Properties button.
  3. Click the Advanced tab. Uncheck Leave a copy of messages on server.
  4. Click OK and close the Services window.

Eudora Pro (Windows)

  1. Open Eudora Pro. Click the Tools menu and choose Options.
  2. Select the Incoming Mail category and uncheck Leave mail on server.
  3. Click OK.

Eudora Light (Windows)

  1. Open Eudora Light. Click the Tools menu and choose Options.
  2. Select the Checking Mail category and uncheck Leave mail on server.
  3. Click OK.

Netscape 7

  1. Open Netscape. Click the Tasks menu and select Mail.
  2. In the Mail window, click the Edit menu and select Mail/News Account Settings.
  3. Click the Server category listed under your RV ISP mail account.
  4. Uncheck Leave messages on server.
  5. Click OK.

Netscape 4.5 - 4.7

  1. Open Netscape. Click the Edit menu and choose Preferences.
  2. Select the Mail Servers category under Mail & Newsgroups. You may need to click the plus (+) sign next to Mail & Newsgroups first.
  3. Highlight your RV ISP mail server, and click the Edit button.
  4. Click the POP tab and uncheck Leave messages on server.
  5. Click OK, and then OK again.

Netscape 4.0

  1. Open Netscape. Click the Edit menu and choose Preferences.
  2. Select the Mail Server category under Mail & Groups. You may need to click the plus (+) sign next to Mail & Groups first.
  3. Uncheck Leave messages on server after retrieval.
  4. Click OK.

Outlook Express 5 (Macintosh)

  1. Open Outlook Express. Click the Tools menu and select Accounts.
  2. Highlight your RV ISP mail account and click Edit.
  3. Click the Options tab and uncheck Leave a copy of messages on server.
  4. Click OK and close the Accounts window.

Outlook Express 4.5 (Macintosh)

  1. Open Outlook Express. Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Select E-mail under the Accounts category. You may need to expand the Accounts category by clicking the triangle.
  3. If necessary, select your RV ISP account from the pop-up menu at the top of the window.
  4. Click the Advanced button and uncheck Leave a copy of messages on server.
  5. Click OK, and then OK again.

Eudora Pro (Macintosh)

  1. Open Eudora Pro. Click the Special menu and select Settings.
  2. Select the Checking Mail category.
  3. Uncheck Leave on server for [ ] days.
  4. Click OK.

OS X Mail

  1. Open Mail. Click the Mail menu and select Preferences.
  2. Highlight your RV ISP mail account and click the Edit button.
  3. Click the Advanced Options tab and check the Delete messages on server after downloading option.
  4. Click OK and close the Mail Preferences window.

Help us help you! If you contact RV ISP support for assistance please write down any error messages you get when trying to connect to the Internet. Include the name and version of your operating system and the exact text of all error messages. If this information is included in an online case submission or provided to a support representative, it will greatly speed up the troubleshooting process.

Please be aware that some troubleshooting may require uninstallation and reinstallation of operating system files. To ensure that this type of troubleshooting can be accomplished if required, please be sure that you have to have original Operating System CD or Operating system source files on disk on hand.
